Mission
Last Letter is a lifestyle inspired by individuals willing to offer every breath to fulfill the passionate call of Christ. Our vision is for a movement of believers taking up their crosses daily and following Jesus… into the slums of India, into HIV hospices of Africa, into the child labor underworld in the far East, into waterless villages, into garbage-dump cities, into lands ruled by extremist regimes, into the least reached villages, and into the most crime-ridden neighborhoods in our cities – we will bring awareness and justice.
Passion?
Our desire is to recapture the passion and dedication of those who have sacrificed everything to bring justice in Jesus’ name.
Journey?
Last Letter is a faith revolution. It’s a call to action. Our intent is that you seek Jesus, and contemplate His love for the desperate, the lost and the least reached.
What is the Mission?
Jesus’ last words to his disciples were those of direction, not of suggestion - an imperative. They were to go into all of the world telling His love story of redemption and restoration. These men and women would give the rest of their days and ultimately their lives to be obedient to Jesus’ commandment. Since then we as the church have sought to tell that story, to make Him known among all people, everywhere, every language, every nation.
We still have a long way to go. Most of our world has never even heard the name Jesus. What are we doing to change that, to be salt and light, to reach them with this story, with this love?
Handing out a paper or looking down our noses at those who don’t see is not the way. We will live love, serve sacrificially, and let our actions be our message. We will allow God to have His agenda in His time and trust that He will use us loving people unconditionally for His glory to draw them to Himself. Mission is not about numbers, not about super-Christians, not about agendas. It’s about serving, caring, loving, meeting needs, and righting wrongs, across the street and around the world.
